The CBC Documentary "Rare Bird Alert" That I'm In Will Soon Air On TV!

The CBC documentary I was part of and featured in, that we filmed in Sept 2019 with other local Vancouver birders (including a few of my young birders Bridget, Rebecca, Toby, Sasha (plus Liron behind the camera)) is airing Oct 3, 2020 at 8 pm. It is called "Rare Bird Alert" and will be featuring birders from across Canada and in the USA. Look for it on TV on CBC Network. You can read more about this documentary HERE

I’m very honoured CBC asked me to be part of this project. The crew and host Paul Riss were a real delight to work with.

Here is the trailer for it:

Also here is a featurette on talented young Tofino birder Toby Theriault! She is a natural on camera!

Finally watched this on CBC Gem. It was a well made and powerful documentary. Your passion and dedication really came through. It was great to see the young uns featured ( well, to me you are are young uns). I encouraged ( coerced ) a few of my non birder friends to watch it. Their comments were .. wow birders / birding is kinda cool... very surprised with the diversity among birders... impressed with the passion shown
    Keep up the incredible work

  7. It is an exciting project and an amazing opportunity for you to be featured in a CBC documentary! It's great to see young birders like Bridget, Rebecca, Toby, and Sasha involved as well. It's always inspiring to see the next generation of birders getting interested in this fascinating hobby. I'm sure it was a real privilege to work with the crew and host, and I can only imagine how much fun it must have been to be part of such a unique project. Congratulations on being part of "Rare Bird Alert," and I can't wait to watch it on CBC Network! Get some interesting ideas from the website for documentary movies creation.
